— Silas Young has been let go by EVOLVE/DGUSA. He was set to begin a big push, but he was unable to make it to the Florida shows and was released. A source said that it was a travel issue, that he was bringing himself in for the show and couldn’t get it arranged. EVOLVE offered to fly him down but he would have had to take a pay cut for the shows to cover the costs and turned it down.

–Samuray del Sol reportedly had a big weekend, with the general opinion being that he is ready to become one of the top talents for the company. El Generico is getting a lot of credit for getting Sol into the position because of their matches over the weekend.

— Low Ki and Sean Waltman were at the show on Friday visiting friends. Low Ki is still with the company but took the weekend off, as he had just worked a long tour in Japan + recent ROH events.

— There were no injuries at the weekend shows.

— The promotion reportedly loved having older names and legends at the shows. They were part of the Florida Underground Wrestling event in St. Petersburg, which was a ceremony honoring the legends. EVOLVE was very happy working FUW, who Kevin Sullivan was running the locker room for.

— The promotion is very high on Bobby Fish and Jon Davis after the Style Battle tournament.

–The promotion was also pleased with the iPPV streams, though the Internet connection meant the stream wasn’t as strong as others have been. They had no issues with losing the stream. There were some production issues though. They were unable to use the usual ring light set-up because of concerns over blowing out the power.
