What Happened After WWE’s Elimination Chamber PPV

After the WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, The Rock went around ringside giving all the fans high fives. When he got to the Spanish announce table, he slapped it a few times as if to give a nod to the improved construction in recent pay-per-view history. He continued to make his way around ringside when he stopped, handed the WWE Championship to an older guy at ringside, and looked like he was posing for a picture. I guess the gentleman may have had some class of disability or something, because after the gave the title back he hugged another older guy next to him. Really cool moment.

Then as everyone was walking out, Justin Roberts took to the mic thanking us for the attendance and excitement, and sort of played into the rumors about next year’s ‘Mania coming to New Orleans by saying something to the effect of “we look forward to being back in New Orleans in the near future.”

Matt sent this one along:

The New Orleans Arena was sold out last night. There were no tarped off sections.

Everyone in the arena was shocked when Jack Swagger won the chamber match. The vast majority of the arena was pulling for Jericho and was pissed when he didn’t win.

After the event went off the air, The Rock walked around ringside and shook hands with fans before posing with the title belt in front of the Elimination Chamber entrance. We did not get a “finally The Rock has come back to New Orleans.”
