Roode chokes Guerrero with his boot then distracts the ref to allow Aries to choke him some more on the bottom rope. Roode hits a move and covers for a 2-count. Aries tags in and hits a slingshot senton from the apron. Aries drops the fist and covers for the 1…2…kickout. Aries sends Guerrero face-first into the corner and tags out to Roode. Hernandez takes it to the TNA Tag Team Champions, bodyblocking Roode and tossing Aries into the air and onto the mat face-first. Hernandez heads to the apron, revs up, and hits Air Mexico on Aries and Roode as the crowd cheers. Hernandez is in control as we go to commercial.

Roode knocks Guerrero off the apron then puts the thumbs to Hernandez’s eyes.

The champs phantom tag, making Aries the legal man. They go for a double clothesline but Hernandez breaks the line and knocks them down with a clothesline of his own. Guerrero, who is back on the apron, gets the hot tag. He sends Aries to the outside and takes Roode down with a headscissors takedown. A suited up Joseph Park makes his way out to the ring to say something. The music dies down and Park says he’s here to discuss a couple of issues. Park gets right to the point and brings up The Aces & Eights, Bully Ray in particular. Park says he’s sick of their antics and it stops right now. Park says the word that comes to mind when it comes to them is “justice” and tonight justice will be served when Jeff Hardy brings the World Title back to TNA. Park pulls out a document and says it’s an annulment to end the marriage between Bully Ray and Brooke Hogan.

TV Champion Devon comes out to interrupt. Devon grabs the annulment papers and rips them up before taking the mic. Devon says if Park has a problem with Bully then he has a problem with him. Devon says Park should go back to whatever rock he crawled out from and to stay out of family business. Devon calls Park a “miserable jackass” and tells him he’s been warned. Devon drops the mic and motions to leave, but attacks Park from behind with a chain as he’s picking up the papers. The Aces & Eights theme hits as Devon exits the ring.

Kim throws Terrell face-first into the top turnbuckle then strikes her down to the mat. ODB forces her off and they jaw for a minute, giving Terrell the chance to regroup. AJ Styles Makes His Decision…Or Does He?

“Not Quite the nWo Theme” kicks up, bringing out GM Hulk Hogan to a loud reaction from the Corpus Christi crowd. Hogan gets into the ring and the music fades out to a “Hogan!” chant. Hogan says the TNA Impact Zone is on fire in Corpus Christi then makes a weird awkward laughing sound (HYEAH HEYAH HEYAH). Hogan cuts to the chase and calls out AJ Styles.

AJ Styles makes his way out in his jeans and leather jacket, carrying The Aces & Eights cut with him in his right hand. Styles gets into the ring and gets right into Hogan’s face. Hogan gives Styles an ultimatum: he’s either with TNA or he’s with The Aces & Eights. Styles snatches the mic and says he doesn’t respond well to ultimatums…

“SORRY! ABOUT YO’ DAMN LUCK!”

James Storm makes his way out, mic already in hand. Storm says he’s not out here to give Styles an ultimatum, see what side he’s on, or even drink beer; what Storm is out here for is to fight Styles. Storm gets right in his face, but they are quickly interrupted by the music of Bad Influence. Christopher Daniels, appletini in hand, and Frankie Kazarian make their way out. Kazarian tells “Toby Keith” to step aside because this doesn’t concern him. Kazarian says they aren’t out here to throw fisticuffs; they are here to mend fences and because they see through all the “poop” going on in the ring. Kazarian says he and Daniels know the game that’s being played; Hogan wants Styles to join TNA because his army is running out of soldiers and Aces & Eights want Styles because he used to be TNA’s top soldier. Daniels takes the mic and tells Styles that the choice is lose-lose, but they’ve got a better proposition for them: they want Styles on their side.

Styles is in total disbelief at the suggestion as Daniels continues. Daniels says he knows the whole Claire Lynch thing was bad but it was worse when Dixie, Hulk, and the fans stopped believing in him. Daniels asks Styles to stand with his “brothers” instead of those strangers. Daniels says it would be great if it was Bad Influence and Styles against the world. Before he can respond, Storm grabs him and Styles shakes him off. Storm yells at Styles inaudibly as a “Hogan!” chant breaks out. Styles exits the ring, stops to stare at Bad Influence, then starts walking. Hogan stops him and says he’s going to fight Storm on next week’s show. Styles walks off in a huff as “Not Quite the nWo Theme” kicks back up.

—–

Match #3: Rob Terry Vs. Joey Ryan

Ryan tries to take Terry down with a running shoulderblock but he’s the one that goes down instead. Terry follows up with a running bodyblock then launches him out of the corner and onto the mat. Terry chops Ryan around the ring then whips him into the corner with authority. Terry slams Ryan to the mat, and Ryan’s futile attempts to counter a corner splash is blocked. Terry picks Ryan up and connects with a powerslam. Ryan picks himself up but Terry picks him up and hits the standing spinebuster for the 1…2…3.

Winner [via Pinfall]: Rob Terry (2:30)

Hulk Hogan is backstage with Brooke Hogan. Hogan says he’s going to watch the World Title match in a suite upstairs and he wants her to come with. Brooke says she has to be ringside to look “Mark” in the eyes. Hogan makes sure she has security and tells her to be safe. Brooke walks off and Hogan is immediately stopped by Matt Morgan. Morgan admonishes Hogan for not making him #1 Contender and for screwing TNA in a classic “Hogan Mistake”. Morgan tells Hogan to keep the mistakes coming because one day they’re all going to come crashing down. Morgan grins and walks off. Hogan sighs and walks away in the opposite direction.

—–

Gut Check Deliberation: Magno

Jeremy Borash is in the ring and introduces the Gut Check judges (Danny Davis, Bruce Prichard, & Al Snow). Borash then introduces Magno out to the ring. Davis is up first with his decision and the crowd rains down a “No!” chant. Davis says he’d make him a star in OVW but they’re on national TV so whatever. Davis agrees with the crowd and picks “No”. Borash gives Magno 30 seconds to “Kick Out” via promo. Magno speaks a mix of English and Spanish and says he wants people to know him as Magno on Impact. Prichard gets the mic second; Prichard says Magno is out here because he’s got a marketable look and physical attributes but his inexperience could cost him as much as Pearce’s loads of experience has. Prichard says he just doesn’t know who Magno is and he needs more seasoning, and gives Magno a resounding…wait for it…NO. Borash wishes Magno the best of luck in his future endeavors.

We catch up with The Aces & Eights backstage, who are hyping up for the main event. Mr. Anderson asks Bully Ray if he’s ready and that the Aces & Eights never ride alone. Ray says he has to do this on his own and makes everyone promise they let him do it on his own. Ray says he’s not doing it for himself, he’s doing it for The Aces & Eights. Ray gives Anderson his wedding ring to hold and Ray makes his way inside as the rest of The Aces & Eights rev their engines.

After some hype for next week’s show, Jeff Hardy makes his way out for the main event. Brooke Hogan is sitting ringside. TNA World Champion Bully Ray makes his way out next and he stops to embrace Taz and talk trash to his wife. The Aces & Eights theme almost begins all over again until the bell rings and it stops.

Main Event: Bully Ray (c) Vs. Jeff Hardy in a “Full Metal Mayhem” Match for the TNA World Heavyweight Title

Hardy takes it right to Ray at the bell with a corner splash. Hardy grabs a chair and smashes it across Ray’s back. Hardy grabs a ladder standing at ringside and leans it against the corner. Hardy whips Ray into the ladder, and he almost flies out of the ring with it. Hardy sets up a chair and hits the Poetry in Motion against the ladder, and Ray falls face-first into the top of the chair. Hardy goes for the belt but Ray dumps the ladder. Hardy lands on his feet and takes him down with a one-foot mule kick. Hardy runs at Ray, but Ray counters with a backdrop and Hardy lands hard on the entrance ramp. Ray grabs his wallet chain and whips Hardy repeatedly with it on the ramp. Ray sets up the ladder and makes his way up. Hardy slides in and climbs up the other side. Ray gets the upper hand and takes Hardy down with a superplex off the top of the ladder. Both men are down as we go to commercial.

-Commercial Break-

Ray looks to put Hardy through the table as we come back from break. Hardy jumps off the table and lays a chair into Ray who’s seated on the top turnbuckle. Hardy stands the ladder upside down and goes for a superplex but Ray blocks it. Ray knocks him off the ropes but is caught with a kick on his way down, knocking the ladder over. Ray puts the ladder back up and front suplexes Hardy through it, the ladder closing on his body. Ray dumps the broken ladder out of the ring then grabs a chair. Ray smashes Hardy with it then sets up the table. Ray mocks Hulk Hogan’s mannerisms before going back on the attack. Ray grabs the other ladder on the ramp and brings it into the ring.

Ray sets the ladder up in the corner and yells what he’s about to do, culminating in slapping his wife in the face. Ray picks Hardy up, but Hardy starts fighting back with a series of rights. Ray reverses an Irish whip but gets caught with a flying forearm followed by the inverted atomic drop/legdrop/dropkick combo. Hardy and Ray both grab chairs and Hardy smashes his into Ray’s, sending the chair flying into his skull. Ray moves out of the way and Hardy hits the rail during a high-risk attempt. Ray poses for the crowd then yells at Brooke. Brooke flips him off and after sending Hardy skull-first into the ring steps, goes back to Brooke. Ray asks for a kiss but gets a slap instead. Hardy regroups and sends Ray into the steps. He goes to place Ray on the table but the table caves under Ray’s weight so he goes with a legdrop instead.

Hardy goes all the way to the entrance and grabs the table. He sets it up and hits Ray with a Twist of Fate. Ray very delicately lays himself on the table as Hardy takes his shirt off and goes to the top rope. Hardy connects with the SWANTON and the crowd instantly starts chanting “Holy Shit!” and “TNA!”.

Hardy rolls inside and sets up another table for some reason. Hardy sets up the ladder as Taz hands Ray a hammer. Ray returns to the ring and both men fight at the top of the ladder. Hardy grabs the belt but Ray cracks him in the skull with the hammer and he goes flying through the table. Ray grabs the belt and raises it in triumph as the bell rings.

Winner and STILL World Champion: Bully Ray (17:10)

POST-MATCH: The rest of The Aces & Eights make their way out to celebrate with their leader. We see a replay of Hardy’s fall to end the match as Ray yells for them to shut the music off. The music almost starts up again but Ray talks over it to stop that from happening. Ray asks the crowd if they know who they are and Ray answers that they are The Aces & Eights, he is the World Heavyweight Champion, and when you ride with The Aces & Eights, you never walk alone. Ray raises the belt as the music kicks back up for real. Officials tend to Hardy as Ray stands over his fallen foe. After some more celebration, the show cuts out to World’s Worst Tenants.
