“Yes, sir, we promised you a great main event…”

WWE RAW Opener:

WWE RAW opens with Justin Roberts introducing the WWE Champion Randy Orton. Michael Cole, JBL and Jerry Lawler talk about the controversial finish to Survivor Series as well as Michael Strahan guest-hosting tonight’s RAW. The Wyatt Family vs. CM Punk and Daniel Bryan is announced as a handicap match for later tonight.

Orton starts by saying he’s owed an apology from everyone for thinking he wouldn’t show up here tonight as the WWE Champion. Orton says The Authority agreed to join him out at ringside tonight. With that said, out comes Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

Triple H starts off by congratulating Orton on his victory at Survivor Series. He says they couldn’t be any more pleased with his win over Big Show. HHH says when Orton first came into the company he knew he had the potential to be one of the greatest Superstars in the history of WWE. Stephanie says they gave him exactly what he needed last week – motivation. She says it’s always nice when she and Triple H are always right. Orton says he’s not shocked to hear Stephanie make this all about her. Orton says he didn’t need their help and they interfered right when he was about to win without help. HHH says they promised there wouldn’t be any physical interference. He says Orton may have trouble remembering because he was unconscious at the time and the reason they came out was because they thought there was about to be a new WWE Champion. Orton says he took everything Big Show had to offer, unlike someone he knows (referring to Triple H). Orton says he is the greatest Superstar in the 50 years this company has been around. He says no one can take that away from him. With that said, John Cena’s music hits.

The World Heavyweight Champion John Cena makes his way to the ring. Cena says, “how you doing, I’m John Cena — World Heavyweight Champion.” He almost calls Orton a giant piece of…but Stephanie cuts him off before he can say sh*t. Cena addresses the “Daniel Bryan” and “Yes” chants by saying the fans are sick of the administrative b.s. Cena says he asked one question that he found interesting — who is the champion. He says he sees two champions in the ring right now. He says they should cut through the administrative b.s. and make just one champion. Cena officially challenges Orton to unify the titles. Stephanie says they’ve actually been talking about this for a while now. Orton says he knew that’s what they were talking to Cena about at Survivor Series. Triple H tells Orton to grow up. He says a minute ago he was bragging about how good he is and now he’s crying about it. HHH says they’re going to do something epic. In three weeks at the WWE TLC pay-per-view, they are going to hang the WWE and World Heavyweight Championships above the ring and they’re going to make history. HHH says it will be Randy Orton going one-on-one against John Cena in a tables, ladders and chairs match. Both guys hold their titles up as HHH’s music hits. The Authority leave the ring while Cena and Orton stare each other down a little bit longer.

As we head to commercial, Michael Cole announces a six-man tag-team match that will take place after the break. It will be Rey Mysterio, Goldust and Cody Rhodes against all three members of The Shield.

Rey Mysterio, Goldust & Cody Rhodes vs. The Shield

As we return from commercial The Shield are already making their entrance into the ring. Michael Cole talks about tieing the record at Survivor Series for the most eliminations by an individual in a traditional Survivor Series elimination match. He’s only the second person in hsitory to eliminate four people in one match in the history of the pay-per-view. Goldust’s music hits and out he comes with his brother Cody Rhodes. As they enter the ring, Rey Mysterio’s music hits and out comes Mr. 6-1-9.

The bell rings and all three members of The Shield attack the babyfaces. When the smoke clears, Seth Rollins is beating up Goldust as the two legal men in the ring. Rollins quickly tags Dean Ambrose in and Ambrose continues the beatdown. Ambrose tags Rollins back in just seconds later. Rollins stomps Goldust a few times and tags Ambrose right back in. Ambrose chokes Goldust with the middle rope. Goldust catches Ambrose’s legs and launches Ambrose over the top. Goldust hits hit drop-down uppercut on Ambrose. Ambrose tags in Rollins and within seconds Goldust launches Rollins over the top as well. Rollins tags in Roman Reigns and Reigns blasts Goldust with a clothesline to prevent him from making the tag. We head to a mid-match commercial on that note.

When we return from commercial, Goldust is fighting back at Ambrose but Ambrose cuts him off and tags in Reigns. Goldust hits a double-DDT on both guys and starts crawling to his corner. Rollins is tagged back in and he tries to stop Goldust from making the tag. Goldust makes the tag to Mysterio anyways, who Cole points out is competing in his first match on RAW since February. Mysterio is beating up all three members of The Shield. Mysterio sets Rollins up for the 6-1-9 but Rollins avoids it and smashes into Mysterio. Both guys are down. Both guys make the tag. Rhodes and Ambrose are now the legal men in the match. Rhodes hits an Alabama slam on Rollins for a near fall. Rhodes tags back in Mysterio. Mysterio immediately sets Rollins back up for the 6-1-9. As he goes to hit Rollins with it, Reigns comes out of nowhere and spears Mysterio. Reigns sidewalk slams Goldust but Rhodes knocks Reigns out of the ring. Rhodes goes for his finisher on Rollins, but Ambrose, who was apparently the legal man, catches Rhodes from behind with the face-plant. 1-2-3. The Shield wins.

Winners: The Shield

Michael Cole runs down Michael Strahan’s credentials and accomplishments as we head to commercial. Our guest host, Michael Strahan is coming up on RAW after the break.

Before we head to commercial, Jerry Lawler reveals that the fans get to vote on the stipulation in a match on RAW tonight between Dolph Ziggler and Damien Sandow. The options are: a “Strong Island Street Fight” (not a typo), a “Long Island Lumberjack Match” and a “Hamptons Hardcore Match.” We head to commercial.

MizTV with Michael Strahan and Titus O’Neil

When we return from commercial, The Miz is standing in the ring for a MizTV segment. The Miz welcomes his guest tonight, the guest-host for WWE RAW this week — Michael Strahan. Instead of Strahan, out comes Titus O’Neil with a painted gap between his teeth to mock Strahan. Miz tells “Michael” that he’s never looked so good. O’Neil talks with a lisp to mock Strahan even further. O’Neil says it’s an honor to stand next to a former WrestleMania main eventer. Miz asks O’Neil “what’s with the gap?” talking about his teeth. He says he should pawn his Super Bowl ring and get his teeth fix. O’Neil says the gap is distinctive. Miz says the gap is bigger than the gap between the New York Giants and the playoffs. The crowd boo’s Miz and Miz says “ooh The Miz is a bad guy…it was just a joke everybody!” O’Neil wants to welcome Titus O’Neil.

Michael Strahan comes out smiling and pointing to the gap between his teeth. Strahan comes to the ring. He and O’Neil playfully bump chests. I guess O’Neil was doing that as a tribute to him? Strahan says he has to say than you to Titus and The Miz. Strahan says their jokes were weak. He says the towel boy makes better jokes. He says O’Neil’s “suit game” is strong but his “gap game” is weak. Strahan says the WWE is all about fun and asks the fans if they’re ready to have some fun tonight. Strahan thanks everyone for letting him be the honorary guest host. He says tonight we’re going to have a double tag-team main event. In one corner we’re going to have the WWE Champion Randy Orton and his partner Alberto Del Rio. Strahan says in the other corner will be Big Show and the World Heavyweight Champion John Cena. He’s holding his words to emphasize them “John Cenaaaaaaaaa” etc. Painful to listen to.

The Miz puts over himself as a wrestler. He asks Michael Strahan if he can “hack it” in the ring. Strahan says Kelly Ripa is tougher than him. Miz says he’s the most must-see Superstar in WWE history, he’s not sipping coffee next to Kelly Ripa every morning. The two keep arguing and Titus O’Neil cuts them off. O’Neil says he understands Strahan is a good athlete but this is not football. He says if Miz hits him with even a simple move than Strahan might not make it to work with Kelly Ripa tomorrow. Miz asks if Strahan thinks he can handle a simple hip-toss. Strahan says let’s try a simple hip-toss then. O’Neil clears away some of the MizTV set. Strahan and Miz keep talking over each other. This is brutal. O’Neil says he’s available if Strahan is can’t make it to work tomorrow.

O’Neil goes to hip-toss Strahan but Strahan blocks it. Miz mocks O’Neil a bit so he takes his sport coat off and he’s serious about it now. Miz asks the fans if they think he can do it. O’Neil tries again but Strahan blocks it once more. Miz says he’s afraid to take a hip-toss he understands. Now Miz is going to do something and O’Neil is standing back. Miz goes to hip-toss Strahan but Strahan reverses it and hip-tosses Miz. Miz is on the ground smiling. All the guys are talking over each other again. Jeez. O’Neil grabs Strahan and does the “millions of dollas” dance until Strahan, out of nowhere, hip-tosses O’Neil too. O’Neil gets up and smiles. All three guys do the “millions of dollars” dance. Michael Cole is shouting to the ring inviting Strahan to come do commentary all night with them. Strahan doesn’t hear it. I believe the segment is over, and thank god for that. I forgot how atrocious these celebrity guest host segments can be. We head to commercial after they plug the fans ability to vote for the Ziggler-Sandow match tonight.

Curtis Axel & Ryback vs. Big E. Langston & Mark Henry

We return from commercial and we see highlights of Big E. Langston winning the Intercontinental Championship on RAW last week. After the video package concludes, Ryback and Curtis Axel are already standing in the ring. Langston’s music hits and out comes the I-C champ. Next out is Mark Henry. It looks like we have ourselves a tag-team match next here on RAW.

The bell sounds and Langston and Axel start things off for their respective teams. Langston whips Axel into the corner and smashes into him with a spear. Axel hits the ropes and makes a blind-tag to Ryback. Axel blasts Langston with a punch and when he turns around, he walks into a sidewalk slam by Ryback. The fans are getting on Ryback already with loud “Goldberg, Goldberg” chants. Ryback beats up Langston for a few more seconds and then tags Axel back in. Axel hits Langston with a few punches and tags Ryback right back in.

Langston recovers and blasts Ryback with a belly-to-belly suplex and then he tags in “The World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry. Henry is throwing Axel around like a rag doll early on. Henry hits Axel with a running powerslam. Langston and Ryback hit the ring and Langston clotheslines Ryback over the top. At the same time, Henry nails Axel with “The World’s Strongest Slam.” 1-2-3. Henry and Langston win.

Winners: Big E. Langston & Mark Henry

As we head to commercial, Jerry Lawler announces that after the break we will have a seven-on-seven traditional Survivor Series elimination rematch. No, not the good one, the Divas will rematch as soon as RAW returns. We head to commercial.

We return from RAW and we see highlights of Cena challenging Orton in the opening segment, followed by Triple H making the announcement of Cena vs. Orton at the WWE TLC PPV. They then plug tonight’s main event, as made by Strahan earlier: Big Show & John Cena vs. Randy Orton & Alberto Del Rio.

Traditional Elimination Match
– AJ Lee, Tamina Snuka, Alicia Fox, Summer Rae, Aksana, Kaitlyn and Rosa Mendes vs. The Bella Twins, The Funkadactyls, Natalya, Eva Marie and JoJo

After the clips finish airing, we see all of the Divas already in the ring. It’s time for the rematch from last night’s Survivor Series. Brie Bella and Aksana start things off. The crowd is already chanting random stuff. “JBL, JBL” is the chant going on at the moment. Meanwhile, Bella is spanking Aksana in the ring — literally. Brie pins Aksana and Aksana is eliminated. Rosa Mendes runs into the ring and Bella quickly knocks her down and tags in Nikki Bella. They hit Mendes with their double-team move and pin her. Rosa Mendes is eliminated.

Cameron comes in, as does Tamina Snuka. Cameron tags in Ariane and they double-suplex Tamina. Tamina gets up and blasts Ariane with a superkick. 1-2-3. Ariane is eliminated. Seconds later, Tamina eliminates Cameron. Natalya comes in and goes to work on Tamina. She beats her up and tags in JoJo. JoJo simply pins Tamina and now Tamina is eliminated. JoJo and Alicia Fox are now in the ring and within seconds Alicia hits JoJo with a backbreaker and eliminates her. Eva Marie comes in and the crowd boo’s the hell out of her. Eva pins Alicia Fox and Fox is now eliminated. Rosa tags in Eva Marie and Kaitlyn comes in from the other team. Natalya scoops the legs out of Kaitlyn and applies the Sharpshooter. Kaitlyn taps out and now Kaitlyn is eliminated. AJ and Summer Rae are the only two left on their team. AJ comes in and goes to work on Natalya. The crowd starts chanting “AJ! AJ!” Natalya grabs the legs of AJ for the Sharpshooter but AJ reverses it into a pin attempt. 1-2-3. Natalya is eliminated. Brie Bella attacks AJ from behind and the crowd boo’s. Brie Bella nails AJ and pins her. 1-2-3. AJ is eliminated.

Summer Rae is left by herself now against The Bella Twins and Eva Marie. Summer comes in and the crowd pops. Summer looks discouraged. She thinks for a minute and then starts dancing around for no reason. Nikki again does The Worm like she did last night at Survivor Series. Summer says she can do that. She tries and fails horribly at it. She screams and tries storming off. Eva Marie stops her. The crowd is now chanting “twek, twek, twek” — awesome lol. Summer keeps trying to escape but the other girls keep stopping her. Nikki hits Summer with her finisher and pins her. 1-2-3. Summer Rae is eliminated. The winners and surviving memebrs are Eva Marie and The Bella Twins. The Bella’s both do the worm as Eva stands around clapping looking like she doesn’t know what to do. And that’s over. Thank god.

Winners and surviving members: Eva Marie & The Bella Twins

We see highlights of last week’s “Broadway Brawl” between Ziggler and Sandow. Afterwards, Lawler again plugs the fact that fans can vote for the stipulation for their match. He says the results of the poll and the match itself is next. We head to commercial.

Before we return from commercial, we get a promo for the WWE Slammy Awards, which are “two weeks away” according to the graphic.

When we return live in the arena, Lawler and Sandow are standing in the ring. Sandow cuts Lawler off and says he wants to publicly state that he is above this. He should not have to compete in a match decided by all the half-wits in the audience. The fans voted for a “Hamptons Hardcore Match.” With that said, out comes Ziggler along with some WWE ring crew people who bring out a bunch of weapons.

“Hamptons Hardcore Match”
– Dolph Ziggler vs. Damien Sandow

We have trash cans, golf clubs, tennis balls and tennis rackets and some boat paddles in the ring. Sandow tries sneaking a golf club behind Ziggler’s back but Ziggler cuts him off and hits him so he drops it. Ziggler is wearing a local New York NHL jersey. Sandow tears the jersey off of Ziggler and throws it. Sandow tosses Ziggler out of the ring. A loud “we want Ryder / WOO-WOO-WOO” chant breaks out as Sandow and Ziggler continue to brawl outside the ring. Ziggler clotheslines Sandow over the barricade. Ziggler goes and beats on the announcer’s table in excitement. When he turns to go get Sandow, Sandow has a microphone and blasts Ziggler with it. The announce team, by the way, won’t stop making Mean Street Possee references. Ziggler puts a trash can over Sandow’s head and body and dropkicks it. We head to commercial.

We return from commercial and Sandow is choking Ziggler with his boot in the ring. He yells “your welcome” at all the fans as he continues laying the boots to a grounded Ziggler. Ziggler fights back. He knocks a trash can over, that was full of trash, and hits Sandow with a neckbreaker on top of all the garbage. Ziggler grabs a boat paddle but Sandow kicks him in the gut and Ziggler drops it. Sandow bodyslams Ziggler in all the trash. Sandow holds up the Islanders NHL jersey. He throws it on top of Ziggler and drops and elbow on him and then shouts “you’re welcome” to the fans again. Sandow throws Ziggler out to the floor.

Sandow goes out after Ziggler on the floor now but when he gets there, Ziggler has a fire extinguisher and sprays Sandow with it. Both guys are down now. Ziggler gets up and rolls Sandow in the ring and then comes in after him. Ziggler does his multiple-punch spot on top of Sandow in the corner. Ziggler grabs a boat paddle and nails Sandow across the back with it. He follows that up with a FameAsser in the trash in the ring. Sandow rolls out to the floor to regain his composure. Ziggler goes out after him.

When Ziggler comes out after Sandow, Sandow blasts him with a trash can. The crowd chants “Randy Savage” randomly as Sandow throws Ziggler into the ringside steps. Sandow throws Ziggler back in the ring as the crowd continues to chant “Randy Savage.” Now the fans chant “Hogan, Hogan” as Sandow grabs a tennis racket. Ziggler kicks Sandow to make him drop it and then DDTs him on a steel chair. Ziggler pins Sandow but Sandow kicks out at two and a half. Sandow gets up, grabs a boat paddle and breaks it across Ziggler’s back. Sandow nails Ziggler with his finisher on a trash can and pins him. 1-2-3. Damien Sandow wins the Hampton’s Hardcore Match.

Backstage, Santino is talking to Michael Strahan. Santino gets scared and walks off. Strahan turns and sees Erick Rowan wearing the sheep mask. Rowan doesn’t say anything, he simply hands Strahan a sheep mask of his own. Strahan looks confused, but puts it on anyways. They stare at each other both wearking the sheep masks and Rowan slowly walks away. Strahan turns around and Santino is still scared, asking if he’s gone. Strahan asks what the hell that was all about. Santino gives Strahan some cooking advice for Thanksgiving and walks off as we hear more “Hogan” chants from the background in the arena. We head to another commercial.

When we return from commercial, we get a video package promoting a special Thanksgiving Day edition of WWE SmackDown.

In-Ring Segment: CM Punk & Daniel Bryan

In the ring, Renee Young introduces her guest at this time, “The Best In The World” CM Punk. Punk’s music hits and out he comes with a microphone in hand. He’s in ring gear and does his “it’s clobbering time” ritual though, so apparently whatever this is will be leading straight into the aforementioned three-on-two handicap match featuring The Wyatt Family vs. Punk and Daniel Bryan. Renee Young then introduces his partner, Daniel Bryan. Out comes Daniel Bryan to a chorus of “Yes!” chants by the crowd. Bryan grabs a microphone as he heads into the ring.

Renee Young congratulates them on their win last night and asks for their thoughts on their two-on-three handicap match tonight against The Wyatt Family. Punk asks if they survived last night. Bryan shouts yes. Punk asks if tonight the deck is stacked even more against them tonight. Bryan shouts yes. Punk asks if the silver lining is that they get to get their hands on Wyatt in the ring tonight. Bryan – Yes. Is Wyatt a false prophet. Bryan – Yes. Punk asks a bunch of other questions and Bryan shouts Yes to them all. Punk asks what’s a better team name, The GOATS (greatest of all teams) or The Beard and The Best. Bryan goes to shout Yes but then says that’s not a yes-or-no question.

Punk says they have a handicap match tonight against all three members of The Wyatt Family. He says most people would be shaking in their boots but he and Bryan are problem solvers. He mocks Triple H for being “real creative” by simply throwing Punk and Bryan in a handicap match. Punk shouts out a bunch of Ring Of Honor and indy wrestlers that are his friends by name. He says he’ll fight any team along with Bryan and they’ll both win. Bryan says The Wyatt Family won’t rest until they finish off Punk and himself. Bryan says he won’t let that happen. He says there’s only one question left. He asks Punk what time it is. Punk shouts in response that “it’s clobbering time!”

After Punk and Bryan’s promo, Bray Wyatt and The Wyatt Family appears on the screen. Bray blows out the light and says, “we’re here.” With that said, The Wyatt Family starts making their way to the ring. We head to a commercial as they continue walking to the ring. The three-on-two handicap match is up next. When we return the bell rings and Punk and Erick Rowan are starting things off for their respective teams. Punk tries using a bunch of leg kicks on Rowan but Rowan simply grabs him and throws him across the ring. Punk tries fighting back with forearms shots but Rowan again grabs him and just throws him into the corner. Punk throws more kicks at Rowan’s legs and this time he traps him in the babyface corner. He tags in Daniel Bryan and Bryan continues kicking the crap out of Rowan’s legs. Rowan grabs Bryan and throws him like a rag doll as well. Rowan tags in Luke Harper.

Harper comes in and whips Bryan into the ropes. Bryan ducks a Harper clothesline and knocks Harper down with one of his own. Bryan tags Punk back in. Harper grabs Punk by the face, rakes his eyes and throws him into the corner. Punk catches Harper coming at him with a big boot and pushes Harper into his corner. He tags Bryan back in. Bryan picks up where Punk left off. Bryan blasts Harper with a bunch of European uppercuts. Harper ends up fighting back and he floors Bryan. Harper tags in Bray Wyatt. Wyatt drops Bryan with a big punch. Bray picks Bryan back up and headbutts him back down. Bray tags right back out and in comes Erick Rowan. Rowan continues the beatdown on Bryan, slamming him and stomping him all over the ring. Rowan picks Bryan up by his beard and then throws him into the corner. He goes for a running boot to the face but Bryan moves. Bryan tags Punk back in.

Punk blasts Rowan with a running knee to knock him over the top and out to the floor. Punk hits the ropes and runs and dives through the ropes, crashing into Rowan on the floor. Back in the ring, Punk hits a neckbreaker on Rowan. Punk goes to the top rope and comes off with a flying elbow smash. Punk yells out that “it’s nap time.” He signals for the GTS but The Wyatt Family all hit the ring to stop him. Rowan throws Punk out to the floor. We head to a mid-match commercial on that note.

When we return from commercial, The Wyatt Family is still in control. Moments later, the action picks up quite a bit and the tide turns in favor of Punk and Bryan. Bryan is flying all over the place, blasting all of the Wyatt members one-by-one. Eventually the numbers game becomes too much as all three guys gang up and just beat up Punk and Bryan despite the ref trying to break it up. The ref finally sees enough and calls for the bell, disqualifying The Wyatt Family.

Winners via DQ: CM Punk & Daniel Bryan

After The Match

Harper blasts Punk with a huge clothesline while Wyatt and Rowan smash Bryan into the barricade outside the ring. Punk is down in the ring. Outside the ring, The Wyatt Family scoops Daniel Bryan up and they carry him to the back. Ambrose and Rollins join Reigns and they stand over Punk’s prone body on the floor smiling and looking proud of what they’ve done. They roll Punk back into the ring. The Shield hoists Punk up and they hit their triple-powerbomb on Punk. They stand over Punk in the ring and join their fists together as their music hits.

Kofi Kingston vs. The Miz

In the arena, Kofi Kingston’s music hits. The announcers recap him slapping Miz during the Kickoff Show for Survivor Series last night. Miz’s music hits and out he comes. The bell sounds and here we go. Lots of back-and-forth action, with Miz coincidentally enough throwing a bunch of hip-tosses. Kingston hip-tosses him back and laughs at Miz and points out that he just hit him with a hip-toss like Strahan did earlier. Kingston dropkicks Miz and clotheslines him over the top. Kingston goes for a running dive but Miz moves, so Kingston puts on the breaks and stops before diving through the ropes.

Back in the ring, Kingston locks Miz in a front face-lock. The crowd is chanting “we want tables” as Miz starts mounting a bit of an offensive comeback. Miz drops Kingston with a big kick and tries to pin him. Kingston kicks out at two. Miz slaps Kingston in a head lock while the announcers obnoxiously plug Christmas Bounty and The JBL & Cole Show, along with JBL and Lawler’s upcoming shared birthday. Meanwhile, Kingston is firing back up on offense. Kingston hits the Boom Drop on Miz. He calls for the Trouble In Paradise kick as he waits for Miz to get up. Miz catches the kick and tries reversing it into the Figure Four Leglock. Kingston escapes and blasts Miz with the S.O.S. Kingston tries a pin off of that but Miz kicks out at two.

Kingston is on the apron outside the ropes. Kingston leap-frogs over the ropes and splashes Miz. Miz rolls through and rolls Kingston up for a pin. 1-2-3. Miz wins. Miz rolls to the floor and seems happy with his win as Kingston sits in the ring upset. Kingston complains to the referee.
