More On WWE SmackDown Moving To The USA Network

UPDATE: Variety has a story about WWE moving SmackDown from Syfy to USA, including why the move is happening.

The article states that the reason SmackDown is moving is because USA wants to increase their live or live-action programming. USA Network President Chris McCumber said that USA is moving away from its original programs to get a millennial audience. NBCUniversal executives felt that WWE programs are a better fit on one single network.

Meanwhile, WWE/USA’s “For The Hero In All Of Us” campaign is designed to make WWE more acceptable to advertisers who have been against the brand in the past.

ORIGINAL: According to Deadline, WWE Smackdown will have a new home starting in January of 2016. Smackdown is being moved to the USA Network after airing on Syfy since 2010. USA Network President Chris McCumber had the following to say about the move…
