Robbie E. Discusses Why WWE’s Never Hired Him, TNA Splitting ‘BroMans’

The Pancakes and Powerslams Podcast recently interviewed TNA’s Robbie E. During the interview, Robbie E discussed his time doing extra work for WWE when he was beat up by Edge during a feud with Ric Flair. Below are some highlights.

Robbie E on Cookie not being mature enough for the job when they started out in TNA: “Wrestling is fun, and wrestling is games, but at the end of the day, it’s still a job and you have to be able to differentiate between the two. She wasn’t mature enough for the job, and didn’t know how to handle herself and take it seriously. She kinda just did it to herself. I kind of consider her to be like the devil (laughs)… [She thought] she was the star of the show, and was untouchable, like she was this big star, and it just wasn’t the case.”

Robbie E’s thoughts on why he was never hired by WWE: “They go out proving [the importance of] the right place at the right time. I don’t think it was the right place at the right time. They’re always changing. Now it’s the smaller guys, and when they were looking at me, they were thinking of a big guy. I don’t think that they didn’t like me or appreciate me, I just don’t think it was the right place or right time.

Robbie E on TNA opting to split the BroMans: “You want to keep moving and trying things out to see what works the best, knowing that you could go back to the BroMans… We were just trying to do our thing as singles wrestlers, and I think it broke us out a little more and strengthened us as singles wrestlers. And now the BroMans are better than ever.”
