Jake Roberts Shares An Andre The Giant Story, Dolph Ziggler Discusses Miz

— Jake Roberts appeared on the Wrestling Reality podcast. During the podcast, he shared a story about facing Andre the Giant:

“Back in the day I was wrestling Andre which was quite the experience on its own. One night we had few too many cocktails, and it was his birthday so I understood. I knew I was in trouble when the referee came over and said Andre was being a bit playful. He’s trying to scare people. He’s trying to scare people by hiding and going out and saying boo. Are you kidding? How do you hide a giant? I get to the ring and Andre is doing this coming down the aisle and I’m holy crap wondering what I’ve gotten myself into. He got in the ring and jumps up and tries to grab the rope, he misses and lands on me adjusting my back and everything. Then my shoulder starts to vibrate and he starts laughing. Earl Hebner is like Andre why are you laughing, you’re not supposed to that in the ring. Andre screams, ‘I’m farting!’”

— Dolph Ziggler spoke with Center Daily for a new interview and discussed The Miz’s latest push.

“He’s actually done pretty well for himself,” Zigger said. “The most important part of the rebirth of his career is basically (his wife) Maryse in his corner. It’s easy to be distracted by her. But, he’s done some great things here. Whether or not you like him, whether he’s a bad guy or a good guy; the point is that he’s held that title and brought some prominence back to it for 180 days or however long it is. Something has to give for me, and something has to give for him. If I get a chance to get a fair match, one on one, no strings attached, I feel like I am a thousand times better than him in the middle of the ring.”

He also talked about which stars to look out for, saying, “I’m pretty good at being an outside observer and taking who I’m friends with out of the picture and just observing as a fan, and it’s guys like A.J. or Dean Ambrose (to watch out for). Those are guys who have been around for years, and whether they’re killing it now, which they are, it’s so cool to watch them as an observer. The real key is watching how people progress and how people get better. That’s the part I like to watch.”
