Mickie James Backstage at SmackDown + Return Rumors

Mickie James is backstage at tonight’s WWE SmackDown in Memphis, TN, according to PWInsider.

James recently signed a two year deal and worked a brief feud with Asuka in NXT a couple of months ago, losing to her for the NXT Women’s Championship at the NXT TakeOver: Toronto event on November 19. That was her first WWE match in 6 years. She had been working at indy feds and in TNA.

She is expected to appear on the main roster any day now, with her likely going to SmackDown, so her return might happen as early as tonight.

There is lots of speculation that WWE may reveal that she is “La Luchadora.”
