A new era in IMPACT Wrestling begun tonight as we’re looking to make IMPACT Great.
Segment: Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards
We open this week’s episode with a brawl between Eddie Edwards and his former Wolves brother Davey Richards! They fight into the crowd as referees try to break it up. Davey attempts to suplex Eddie from the bleachers onto the concrete but thankfully, Eddie avoids it. Security comes out to finally put a stop to the madness.
Segment: Jeremy Borash and Josh Matthews
Jeremy Borash comes out join the announce desk, much to the chagrin of Josh Mathews. Borash says the new owners think the announce desk needs more excitement and that’s where he comes in. Borash talks about how Mike Tenay mentored him to take his place but he was replaced by Josh Mathews. Things got heated!
Segment: Cody
Among the controversy, Cody interrupted and called out Moose but Cody knows he’s in Japan!
Reno Scum (Adam & Luster) vs. DCC (Bram & Eddie Kingston) w/ James Storm
Reno Scum are a new team making their Impact Wrestling debut!
Bram and Kingston double team Adam as the referee tries to keep Luster from getting involved.
Bram attempts a Piledriver on Luster but Adam breaks it up.
Adam hits Kingston with a double foot stomp from the top rope to pick up the victory! Reno Scum defeated The DCC in their debut match.
Winners: Reno Scum
After the match, the DCC argue about their loss but quickly make up before things get heated.
Backstage Interview: Sienna
Backstage, Sienna interrupts McKenzie Mitchell. Sienna says that Allie is going to pay for causing Maria to have a mental breakdown at Laurel and Braxton’s wedding.
Braxton Sutter w/ Allie vs. DJZ vs. Marshe Rockett vs. Caleb Konley
DJZ launches himself over the top rope to take out Sutter and Rockett.
Inside the ring, Rockett connects with a big spinebuster on Konley. Rockett continues the offence by powerbombing Sutter into the corner turnbuckles.
Rockett jumps off the ropes but gets caught with a dropkick from all three of his opponents!
Konley hits a suicide dive on DJZ and Rockett on the outside.
DJZ uses Rockett’s back as a launching pad and hits Konley with the ZDT.
Allie gets involved by hitting a crossbody on Rockett on the outside.
Sutter hits Rockett with a swinging neckbreaker to win.
Winner: Braxton Sutter
After the match, Laurel Van Ness appears on the ramp, still in her wedding dress from two weeks ago.
Sienna vs. Rachael Ellering
Rachael Ellering is set to make her IMPACT Wrestling debut tonight!
Ellering is perched on the top rope but Sienna pushes her off.
Ellering begins to build some momentum after hitting an STO, followed by a springboard leg drop for a near fall.
Sienna hits the Silencer to pick up the win.
Winner: Sienna
In-Ring Segment: Bruce Prichard, Lashley, Alberto El Patron, EC3
Bruce Prichard is in the ring and talks about how Impact Wrestling has changed. He says TNA is dead – it’s now all about Impact Wrestling. Bruce says he knows how to make Impact great and brings out the IMPACT Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion, Lashley. Bruce says there’s nobody in the back who can defeat Lashley – until Alberto El Patron’s music hits! El Patron says that Lashley has never beaten him. EC3 interrupts and tells El Patron that he has to earn a shot at the world title. EC3 challenges Lashley but is immediately turned down. Bruce makes a world title match between Lashley and El Patron for later tonight as EC3 looks on in disbelief.
Backstage: Eddie Edwards and Angelina Love
McKenzie Mitchell is interviewing Eddie Edwards backstage when Angelina Love interrupts. Angelina says Eddie forgot about Davey when he became world champion. Angelina slaps him which prompts Eddie to say that she hits harder than Davey!
Segment: Cody
Cody appears at ringside and calls out Moose once again. Jeremy Borash insists that Cody knows Moose is in Japan.
In-Ring Segment: Dutch Mantel
Dutch Mantel makes his way into the IMPACT Zone and talks about his accomplishments in the world of wrestling. Mantel says the new owners called him to help make IMPACT great and he accepted. Mantel says the fans are his boss and he’s going to listen to them.
Segment: The Broken Hardys
The Broken Hardys are at their personal zoo as Broken Matt has set up a training match between Brother Nero and Smokin’ Joe Frazier. After the training session, Broken Matt says it is time for the next challenge in the Expedition of Gold but something goes terribly wrong during the teleportation! On the other side, Decay appears with possession of the Broken Hardys’ Impact Wrestling tag titles!
Lashley (c) vs. Alberto El Patron
Impact Wrestling World Heavyweight Championship
El Patron brings the fight to the outside as he smashes Lashley’s head on the announce table!
Lashley gains control with a big neckbreaker.
Lashley sends El Patron into the steel steps on the outside.
Lashley connects with a standing vertical suplex and sets up for the Spear. Lashley charges at him but El Patron counters with a quick dropkick.
El Patron attempts to lock in the Cross Armbreaker but Lashley avoids it.
EC3 appears and watches the match from the top of the ramp.
Lashley goes for a clothesline but El Patron ducks, causing the referee to get knocked out instead!
El Patron locks in the Cross Armbreaker as a new referee comes down to the ring. Lashley gets to a vertical base and slams El Patron to the mat for a near fall.
El Patron hits the double knees in the corner for a near fall of his own.
They go back and forth but Lashley gets the better of the exchange as he connects with a spinebuster.
Lashley pulls the second referee in front of him, causing El Patron to accidentally kick him in the face.
Lashley brings the title belt in the ring but gets caught with a kick from El Patron on his way in. El Patron cracks Lashley in the head with the title belt and pins him to win! Alberto El Patron is your NEW World Champion.
Winner: Alberto El Patron – New World Champion
After the match, controversy reigns as referees and Impact Wrestling officials seem to be arguing about the result of the match.
