Bram Update

As previously reported, Bram suffered an undisclosed injury while wrestling in an “extreme match” in Rome, Italy on Saturday. He posted this update on Instagram saying that he “can’t wrestle or do anything for two weeks or so,” so it looks like the injury wasn’t as bad as originally feared.

Hey everybody…. cheers for the messages, I've an hour of wifi before am cut off from the world again! just so you know I've been in hospital in Italy the last three days! Am fine.. pulling out the catheter was the worst part 😂 .. there just keeping me in to keep an eye on me… Theres no wifi so I couldn't let anyone know. Am here for another two days am told till they let me go… I can't wrestle or do anything for two weeks or so apparently. so any shows am booked on or people who bought tickets am super sorry! Once I get back to the UK I'll reach out appropriately! Shout out to mags for spreading the word and Eddie Edwards for my dip and McDonald's, which I ate even though I was told not too, and one of my nurses for stealing me extra biscuits 🤘🏻

The Progressive Liberal

Deadspin wrote a good article about a very good heel wrestler in the Kentucky-based Appalachian Mountain Wrestling, the “Progressive Liberal” Dan Richards.

The Progressive Liberal, wearing shirts that say “Not My President” or shirts covered in Hillary Clinton’s face, condescendingly badgers the crowd about their political views and praises Hillary Clinton, garnering massive heel heat.

During a ring appearance earlier this year, Richards cut an in-ring promo in which he praised Hillary, and was interrupted by attendees chanting “Feel the Bern!” At about the 2:08 mark, some little kid yelled, “You better shut up,” always a mark of decent heat.

“You know what, I think Bernie Sanders would make a great Secretary of State,” Richards said before being jeered. Later on, he tried to persuade the crowd. “I want to exchange your bullets for bullet points. Bullet points of knowledge.”
