Randy Orton on His “Dive” Comments and Resulting Controversy

During a recent interview with radio show Hot 104.1 in St. Louis, Randy Orton clarified comments he made last month viewed as insulting indie wrestling. Orton stated he doesn’t have a problem with wrestlers using dives as moves nor meant it as a general insult against indie wrestling. Instead, Orton stated he doesn’t like dives being done if they serve no real purpose in a match and rather see wrestlers do it less often for long term health reasons.


WWE Network News & Notes

WWE recently added two more classic Madison Square Garden shows to the WWE Network. They are a show from November 23, 1981 which featured Bob Backlund against Greg Valentine in a cage match for the WWF Championship and the other being from December 28, 1982 which featured Bob Backlund against Superstar Billy Graham in a Lumberjack match.

According to PWInsider, WWE currently has plans to release more classic World Class Championship Wrestling episodes to the Network during this summer.


WWE Did You Know – Kurt Angle and King of the Ring

In a “WWE Did You Know” type fact, last Sunday was the 17th anniversary of Kurt Angle’s tournament victory at King of the Ring 2000. Angle defeated Rikishi in the finals to become the 14th King in WWE history and the 8th King of the event’s pay-per-view era.
