GFW Talent to Make Appearance at AAA’s TripleMania XXV

The official Twitter account for Impact Wrestling announced several GFW stars will be making an appearance at Saturday’s TripleMania XXV event held by Mexican promotion AAA.

GFW’s Andrew Everett and DJ Z will be involved in a Four-Way match for AAA’s Tag Team Championship. Others involved in this match are Scoria and Cuervo, Drago and Aerostar, and tag champions Monster Clown and Murder Clown.

Details Regarding Shelton Benjamin’s WWE Return

As previously reported, Shelton Benjamin recently signed a new deal with the WWE after months of rumors regarding the WWE being interested in him. Benjamin made his official return to the WWE during Tuesday’s episode of Smackdown where he was revealed to be Chad Gable’s new tag team partner.

In a small update to this situation, the Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported the deal between the two sides was only made official last week. Same for when the final decision was made for which brand he would join.

World of Sport Star Blames Jeff Jarrett for Ruining ITV’s Plans

As previously reported, ITV’s plans to revive World of Sport are currently in serious doubt after late issues regarding schedules and contracts caused TV tapings to be delayed indefinitely. It was reported issues with GFW’s side of the partnership was the main reason for the delays and uncertain future for World of Sport’s revival.

During a recent interview with website Snapmarenecks, one of the wrestlers contracted by ITV for World of Sport’s revival put the entire blame on Jeff Jarrett for the show’s uncertain future. Sha Samuels stated wrestlers contracted for the show were really happy about the original plans and ITV getting involved in wrestling being a huge deal for British wrestling. Those feelings and plans came to a screeching halt once GFW and Jeff Jarrett got involved causing everything to be delayed and possibly shelved.

“It aired, and you know what? I loved it. I was proud. My Dad hates that I do wrestling and that was the first time he watched me and said he was proud. So I was on cloud nine. Then we got the 10 weeks, and we’re fucking ecstatic, and then it got canned.

Jeff Jarrett was like ’10 weeks is not enough, we need every week’ ….This is not Pop TV you fucking…..10 weeks on ITV is bigger than 4 years on Pop TV. Honestly, if they’d told me it was just the one show, I think I’d have been fine, but after announcing the 10 weeks, and getting us up there for a press conference, it was hard to take. Honestly? I felt I nailed it at that press conference. Then 3 or 4 weeks later it gets snatched away. The thing that hurts the most, is the WWE guys not realising that if we didn’t do World Of Sport, the success they’ve had might not have happened.”
