Chris Jericho Reveals Why He Made One-Night Return for Smackdown

During a recent episode of Talk Is Jericho podcast show, Jericho revealed the reason for his surprise Smackdown appearance earlier this month.

Jericho stated the original reason he was backstage for the August 1st episode of Smackdown was to film some segments for Season 2 of Southpaw Regional Wrestling and interview both Tyler Breeze and Fandango for a future episode of Talk Is Jericho. While working on both projects, he managed to be persuaded to also include a surprise appearance on Smackdown since he was already in the arena.

“That’s actually why I’m here today, to film that show Southpaw and talk to you guys. And now I got roped into having a match.”
