Spoilers: NXT TV Taping Results – Aug. 24, 2017 – Four Weeks of Shows

There were four weeks of tapings, but the order of the matches and segments may be shuffled around.


Week 1 (August 30)

Dark Match: Jazzy Gabert defeated Leah Nox via submission

Segment: SAnitY, Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O’Reilly
Outside the arena, SAnitY are laid out with Adam Cole, Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly walking away.

In-Ring: Drew McIntyre and Roderick Strong
New NXT Champion Drew McIntyre comes out and says that anyone can have a title shot if they challenge him to his face. Roderick Strong comes out and says that after he beats Bobby Roode tonight, he’s coming for the title.

Peyton Royce (w/ Billie Kay) defeated Ruby Riot
Peyton won with a briding fisherman suplex after Billie Kay gave Ruby a big boot on the outside.

Heavy Machinery defeated two jobbers
Squash match.

Roderick Strong defeated Bobby Roode
Strong won with a flying knee and two backbreakers.

After the match, Drew McIntyre came out on the ramp and held up the title, but was attacked by Adam Cole, Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly.


Week 2 (September 6)

Andrade “Cien” Almas defeated Cezar Bononi
Zelina Vega was on commentary. Andrade won via DDT.

In-Ring: Aleister Black and Velveteen Dream
Aleister Black came out and cut a promo, but Velveteen Dream interrupted. Dream said that Black looks like a man who’s hurt and is afraid of the light. Black kicked the microphone out of his hand, then sat down. Dream got in Black’s face as if he was going to kiss him, then rolled out of the ring.

Johnny Gargano defeated Riddick Moss (w/ Tino Sabbatelli)
Tino Sabbatelli tried to interfere, but Gargano won after launching Moss face first into the middle turnbuckle.

Lars Sullivan defeated three jobbers in a handicap match
Sullivan destroyed all three guys. No Way Jose came out after the match and wanted to see how tough Lars was when Jose’s back wasn’t turned. Sullivan then destroyed him again.

Sonya Deville defeated Zeda via armbar submission

No DQ Match: Kassius Ohno defeated Hideo Itami
They fought down the ramp, etc. Itami went for a low blow, but Ohno blocked it and nailed him with a low blow of his own, then an elbow for the win.


Week 3 (September 13)

Nikki Cross and Ruby Riot defeated Peyton Royce and Billie Kay
This started off as an apparent handicap match, but Nikki Cross came in from the crowd and tagged herself in, then took out both Peyton and Billie. Ruby Riot hit a senton off the top for the win.

The Street Profits defeated The Ealy Brothers
They won via frog splash, then ran into the crowd to celebrate.

WWE United Kingdom Championship: Pete Dunne (c) defeated Wolfgang
Dunne won via the Bitter End. After the match, Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish came out and surrounded Pete Dunne, who started fighting with them. Wolfgang helped, but Pete Dunne grabbed his title and ran backstage as Cole, O’Reilly and Fish attacked Wolfgang, then left. Tyler Bate and Trent Seven ran down to check on Wolfgang and stared down Cole, O’Reilly and Fish.


Week 4 (September 20)

Johnny Gargano defeated Tino Sabbatelli (w/ Riddick Moss)

Bianca Belair defeated Lacey Evans
Bianca did her hair whip, then an inverted powerbomb for the win.

Lars Sullivan defeated No Way Jose
Lars completely destroyed Jose in a squash.

Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly (w/ Adam Cole) defeated Tyler Bate and Trent Seven
Cole superkicked Bate outside the ring, and Fish and O’Reilly hit a leg sweep/kick combo for the win. After the match, Drew McIntyre ran out to the ring, but Cole and company retreated. However, they were met by SAnitY as they tried to leave, who fought with them until Cole, Fish and O’Reilly escaped through the crowd.

In-Ring: Asuka Vacates NXT Women’s Championship
This segment may air next week. A video package of Asuka was played. William Regal then came to the ring and introduced Asuka, who said a few words about NXT. William Regal then said that he was beginning “negotiations” with Raw and SmackDown for Asuka to move to one of those brands, and as a result, she would relinquish her NXT Women’s Championship. The NXT locker room came out and clapped for Asuka and Ember Moon hugged her. Triple H then came down and congratulated Asuka, calling her one of WWE’s greatest champions.
