AJ Styles defends the United States Championship against Baron Corbin tonight on SmackDown LIVE

After attacking AJ Styles last week on Sin City SmackDown, Baron Corbin will get his opportunity to try and dethrone The Phenomenal One tonight, when he challenges for the United States Championship.

The Lone Wolf has been stalking Styles and his star-spangled championship since the Tuesday after SummerSlam, when he tried to get guaranteed title matches from both Kevin Owens and Styles. When he refereed a title bout between the two later that night, Corbin and Styles butted heads after they inadvertently collided.

Corbin attempted to answer Styles’ United States Open Challenge one week later, but was beaten to the punch by Tye Dillinger. Corbin retaliated by attacking The Perfect 10, but could not keep him from answering the challenge. The blindside attack did keep Dillinger from defeating Styles. Corbin went on to defeat Dillinger the following week, but found himself shut out of the title picture again, as Styles gave a fair rematch to The Perfect 10.

This time, Corbin waited until after The Phenomenal One had defeated Dillinger to make his presence felt on Sin City SmackDown. The Lone Wolf struck, steamrolling over both men before planting Styles into the arena floor with End of Days before announcing his intention of coming for the U.S. Title.

Will The Lone Wolf assert his dominance and capture the United States Championship, or will AJ Styles’ phenomenal reign continue? Find out on SmackDown LIVE, tonight at 8/7 C on USA Network!

Shane McMahon to address Kevin Owens’ vicious attack on his father

The WWE Universe was shocked as SmackDown LIVE concluded last week, as Kevin Owens brutally attacked WWE Chairman and CEO Mr. McMahon.

The attack came after Mr. McMahon revealed he was reinstating his son Shane and putting him in a Hell in a Cell Match with KO. When Owens confirmed that he had permission to beat “a McMahon” senseless if provoked, all hell broke loose. KO unleashed a devastating assault on Mr. McMahon that left Sin City stunned.

Now, Shane returns to SmackDown LIVE three weeks before entering Hell with Owens. How will he address this despicable act?

Natalya to host a “Celebration of Women”

Fresh off successfully defending the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Naomi, Natalya is apparently feeling extra-inspired.

WWE.com has learned that Natalya plans on hosting a “Celebration of Women” on SmackDown LIVE. What exactly that entails is yet to be revealed, but expect the rest of the SmackDown Women’s division to keep a close eye on the titleholder.

The New Day to revel in their championship victory with the WWE Universe

Last Tuesday, The New Day defeated The Usos in a thrilling Sin City Street Fight to win the SmackDown Tag Team Titles.

Tonight, the new champions are ready to party! Kofi Kingston, Big E & Xavier Woods will celebrate their fourth tag team championship with the WWE Universe on SmackDown LIVE, and The New Day wasted no time basking in the glow of their victory last week on the Las Vegas Strip. The question heading into this week: How long will the party last?

Jinder Mahal to address his controversial comments from last week

During Sin City SmackDown, many felt WWE Champion Jinder Mahal crossed a line with his remarks toward his top challenger, Shinsuke Nakamura. Along with The Singh Brothers, The Modern Day Maharaja relentlessly mocked The King of Strong Style.

With their title showdown at WWE Hell in a Cell rapidly approaching, what will the WWE Champion have to say? Find out on SmackDown LIVE, tonight at 8/7 C on USA Network!
