ESPN’s Ric Flair Documentary to Air Early November

ESPN announced in a press release their next 30 For 30 documentary based on Ric Flair will debut on November 7th at 10PM ET.

ESPN Films’ 30 for 30 documentary “Nature Boy,” on wrestling legend Ric Flair, will premiere on Tuesday, Nov. 7, at 10 p.m. ET on ESPN. Director Rory Karpf (“I Hate Christian Laettner,” “The Book of Manning”) will take an inside look at Flair’s story, including his triumphs, his tragedies, and his pivotal role in turning pro wrestling into mainstream sports entertainment.

In the press release, director Rory Karpf stated he wanted to do a film based on the life and career of Ric Flair after contacting Flair for a guest appearance in his other 30 For 30 documentary called “I Hate Christian Laettner.”


Indie Wrestling News & Notes

PROGRESS Wrestling announced this Sunday’s show at the Electric Ballroom in London, England will feature a PROGRESS World Championship match between Keith Lee and champion Travis Banks. Also scheduled for the show is Pete Dunne making a special announcement to PROGRESS fans and management.

WrestleCircus recently uploaded a video to their official YouTube channel of Jimmy Jacobs’ appearance and confrontation with Sami Callihan at last weekend’s show for the company.


Changes Made to the Plans for This Week’s RAW

PWInsider reported that this week’s RAW had two changes made involving the Cruiserweight 10-man tag match and the Women’s Triple Threat match.

In regards to the Cruiser match, WWE originally planned for the match to be done in an elimination style, but it was later changed to a regular 10-man tag team match.

In regards to the Women’s Triple Threat match, the original plan was for a singles match between Sasha Banks and Bayley to determine Team RAW’s captain. Alicia Fox’s addition (and win to become team captain) was a late change.


WWE Did You Know – Kurt Angle and the WWE Championship

Besides last Sunday’s TLC PPV being the first time Kurt Angle wrestled a match in WWE in eleven years, it was also another memorable day in Kurt Angle’s WWE career.

Last Sunday was also the 17th anniversary of Kurt Angle’s first ever WWF Championship victory. He defeated champion The Rock for the title at WWF No Mercy 2000.
