Several more wrestlers are currently reported to have been released by Impact Wrestling as part of a new batch of roster cuts. The releases were made public after Impact removed several wrestlers from their active roster page on their website on Monday.
Alisha Edwards, Swoggle (Hornswoggle in WWE), The Veterans of War (Mayweather & Wilcox) and Mahabali Shera all have been released although in Swoggle’s case, PWInsider reported he never had an actual contract with the company.
Alisha Edwards debuted this past February and is the wife of Eddie Edwards who was released in recent weeks. Swoggle’s Impact debut occurred last December during the “Total Nonstop Deletion” episode and he mainly feuded with Rockstar Spud before having his final Impact match this past May. The Veterans of War debuted this past April and signed a deal in May.
PWInsider reported Shera was officially released two months ago but it was not made public until Monday. Shera had been with the company since September 2014 as part of Impact’s attempts at expanding into the Indian market.
In regards to the management side of the company, PWInsider reported that those from the Nashville office are currently worried about their future in the company once the Impact office is merged into the new Toronto office, which could occur as early as next month.
