Various: WWE Says Naomi Is “Injured,” Birthdays, PWG Previews

Naomi “Injured”

WWE said that Naomi “suffered severe injuries” last night during a six woman tag match, where the Riott Squad faced Naomi, Charlotte and Natalya. The Riott Squad beat down Naomi, threw her into steel steps, etc. In a video update, a WWE physician said:

“It looks like she’s got a cervical strain, right side shoulder separation, a few facial contusions. She’s being evaluated with some x-rays and we’ll have some more information tomorrow.”

It’s likely just a storyline injury to give Naomi some time off and establish the Riott Squad as “dangerous,” but we’ll see. Becky Lynch was “written off” last week after an attack by the Riott Squad, but the reason for Becky’s absence is that she’ll be shooting scenes in the upcoming Marine 6 movie along with The Miz and Shawn Michaels.
