WWE Cancels One India Tour Date Due to Low Sales?

Indian News Outlet News18 is reporting that WWE has cancelled one of the two dates for next month’s India tour. A press release revealed that only the December 9 show will go forward and fans who purchased tickets for the canceled December 8 show may exchange them for December 9.

TRIPLE H™ VS. JINDER MAHAL™ TO HEADLINE WWE® LIVE INDIA “SUPERSHOW” ON SATURDAY, DECEMBER 9

WWE and Sony Pictures Networks India today announced that WWE Live in India at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium will now feature one “Supershow” on Saturday, December 9, including the return of WWE Superstar Triple H™ vs. “The Modern-Day Maharaja”, Jinder Mahal™, in the main event.

To meet the requests of WWE fans in India, and deliver the biggest main event in the country’s history, WWE is combining two nights of family-friendly action into a one-night only, exclusive Supershow.

Fans may exchange WWE Live tickets purchased for Friday, December 8, for Saturday’s WWE Supershow, or receive a full refund by contacting BookMyShow customer service at 022 6144 5050 or helpdesk@bookmyshow.com.

Speculation is that the tickets are over-priced for the Indian market and that Jinder Mahal has not driven up interest among Indian fans. Tickets for the remaining date can be purchased here.

Here’s the announced card for the remaining show, via The Times of India:
