Dean Ambrose has a legitimate right elbow injury, according to Dave Meltzer.
The severity of the injury is not known, but Ambrose reportedly was injured when he arrived at Raw and the show was re-written to turn it into a storyline and possibly write him off TV for a while, depending on how serious it is.
WWE did an angle during a six man tag match on Raw with Ambrose, Rollins and Jordan taking on Samoa Joe, Cesaro and Sheamus. After Rollins dived onto everyone on the outside, Ambrose acted like his elbow was hurt and the ref called for medical staff to check on him.
Later backstage, they showed Ambrose getting checked by medics and did an angle where Joe, Cesaro and Sheamus attacked Ambrose and Rollins and Joe smashed Ambrose’s elbow with a crate. Cole then announced that Ambrose was taken to a “local medical facility.”
