Charlotte Reveals Her Team Name for WWE’s Mixed Match Challenge Series

As previously reported, WWE announced Bobby Roode and current Smackdown Women’s champion Charlotte will be paired together as a team for the Mixed Match Challenge series exclusively on Facebook. Charlotte recently revealed on Twitter their official team name will be the “Robe Warriors” playing on the fact both wear robes as part of their characters.


Rumor: WWE Interested in Signing Former WWE Star Serena Deeb to a Deal

WWE is currently rumored to be interested in signing Serena Deeb to a contract, according to PWInsider. PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported Deeb was spotted in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Monday likely for pre-signing medical tests.

Deeb last appeared for the WWE during last year’s Mae Young Classic tournament and was a member of CM Punk’s “Straight Edge Society” stable in 2010 which was also her only year on the main roster.


NJPW to Hold Four Day Tour of Australia Next Month

NJPW announced they will be holding a four day tour of Australia called “New Japan Fallout Down Under” this February. Kazuchika Okada, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Minoru Suzuki, The Young Bucks, KUSHIDA, Cody, Tomohiro Ishii, EVIL, SANADA, Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa, Juice Robinson, Bad Luck Fale, and Lance Archer were all announced to be appearing for the tour. Will Ospreay was also announced for this tour although only for the final two dates.

NJPW Australian tour dates:
* February 16 at the Adelaide Titanium Arena in Adelaide.
* February 17 at the Festival Hall in Melbourne.
* February 18 at the Quay Centre in Sidney.
* February 19 at the HBF Stadium in Perth.

Each location was also reported to being configured to hold crowds under 5,000 in size for this tour.

United Kingdom’s PROGRESS Wrestling announced on Twitter Travis Banks will be defending his PROGRESS Championship against Chris Brookes at this Sunday’s event in Birmingham, England.

Impact Wrestling is currently scheduled to hold two sets of television tapings in Orlando, Florida and Canada as part of the buildup for March 22nd’s Lockdown pay-per-view event. The Orlando tapings will occur from January 10th to January 15th while the tapings in Canada are currently planned to occur in March.

Northeast Wrestling announced WWE’s Mark Henry will be making an appearance at their Wrestlefest XXII event on March 2nd in Waterbury, Connecticut. Henry will not be wrestling at the event and instead will only be available for autographs and photos during the pre-show festivities and event itself.
