Rumor: WWE Considering Idea of Two Separate Television Deals with NBC and FOX

WWE is rumored to be considering the idea of signing two separate television deals with NBC and FOX, according to the Wrestling Observer.

The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported that both FOX and NBC are currently interested in signing a new television deal with WWE and it could end up with RAW and SmackDown being split between the networks. If it happens, it would be similar to the period when SmackDown aired on the CW network and RAW aired on the USA Network.

Meltzer also reported that WWE’s signing of Ronda Rousey has contributed a lot of the recent interest by networks for WWE programming due to her name coming up the most during talks. It was also reported that overall interest in WWE programming is a lot higher now than during WWE’s previous television contract talks in 2014.
