WWE Expanding Length of PPV Events Update

As noted before, WWE recently notified pay-per-view providers of upcoming changes to their pay-per-view events starting with next month’s Money in the Bank event.

In an update to this situation, PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported WWE confirmed the starting time for all pay-per-view events will be pushed back to a new start time of 7PM EST going forward. They also clarified reports of all events being a minimum of four hours long stating this will not become the new standard but instead they wanted to give enough breathing room to extend events beyond the traditional PPV three hour limit and the Network era limit of three and a half hours whenever needed.

The “Big 4” of the Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and Survivor Series will remain as longer events in regards to length and start times.
