It was reported earlier this week that Ring of Honor is planning on running a show at Madison Square Garden in 2019.
Dave Meltzer is now reporting that “WWE is doing everything possible to block it” and that they may be successful in doing so, and that that there is “lots going on behind-the-scenes” and it’s too early to know how things will turn out.
Madison Square Garden is seen as sort of a “home turf” for WWE despite the fact that they rarely ever run “big” shows from there anymore and typically have just been running house shows in recent years, choosing instead to run TV and PPV shows from the nearby Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
