The SmackDown house show Monday night did not do well, drawing less than 2,000 fans. The word going around the SmackDown locker room is that John Bradshaw Layfield did a promo that lasted way too long and that he is really starting to hurt the brand as the lead heel.

However, most agents continue to praise Layfield because Vince McMahon is the mastermind behind his big push and no one wants to tell McMahon that he isn't working out going into his headline match against Eddie Guerrero at Judgment Day next month.
