AWA Promoting Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Hulk Hogan

The American Wrestling Association (AWA) has posted quite a shocking statement on their website. Dale Gagne, head of AWA operations, claims to be able to put together a match between Hulk Hogan and Steve Austin.

The statement on their site says, "After months of negotiations, the WWE has become unable to come to terms with not one but two of Professional Wrestling's biggest Superstars. Stone Cold" Steve Austin and the Immortal Hulk Hogan have both left the WWE, making them available for new national and international opportunities including wrestling on an AWA WRESTLING SUPERSTARS - LIVE! event. If you're a fair, festival, casino or promoter, the match of the century, Hogan vs. Austin, is an e-mail or phone call away."

While this seems unlikely, both Austin and Hogan are currently free agents and are able to participate in such an event, should the money to secure the two biggest draws in the history of profsesional wrestling become available. We will have more on this story as it becomes available.
