Top WWE Diva Injured, Nattie Neidhart's WWE Future, & More News

Michelle McCool suffered a broken nose and two black eyes during her match with Victoria on the WWE European tour last week. In her most recent blog on WWE.com, McCool writes about the near miss that the aircraft carrying WWE talent encountered in Switzerland. You can check out McCool's latest on the official WWE web site.

Nattie Neidhart, daughter of Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, went on SmackDown overseas tour of Europe to work some matches with Victoria & Michelle McCool. Vince McMahon, Ricky Steamboat and Johnny Ace praised her work on the tour. Neidhart is expected to be called up very soon. She was appearing on Florida Championship Wrestling shows, but hasn't appeared on them as of late. She's been in developmental for about a year as she signed a contract on January 5.

On Wednesday night on WHAS-AM in Louisville, the wife of Ohio Valley Wrestling wrestler Atlas DaBone, Dr. Gabrielle Young, who hosts a segment called "Ask Dr. Diva" (www.askdrdiva.com), mentioned that DaBone would be appearing on Monday Night Raw within the next three weeks. Not much is known about Atlas DaBone as it's hard to find thorough background information on him. For one, his real name has yet to be revealed. Apparently, DaBone has only been wrestling for about a year as he debuted in Ohio Valley Wrestling last January. He's a big muscular guy with a 70s perm hairdo that is billed at 6'4" and 280 pounds. In his bio, the OVW website compares him to "Superstar" Billy Graham. In OVW they are now pushing his former football career. On a recent show, the announcer said that he's a former football player who has played for the Arena League, the XFL and the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars. He reportedly played in college, but the pro career may be exaggerated. DaBone had recent dark matches in front of WWE crowds against "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan and Vladimir Kozlov. He lost to Duggan, but beat Kozlov.

WWE Tough Enough 4 champion Daniel Puder tried out for the new American Gladiators television show on NBC, but failed to make the cut for whatever reason. Indy wrestler Matt Cross also tried out for the show, but didn't make it because he was too short (he's 5'7"). Tough Enough 4 contestant Jesse "Justice" Smith did make the show. He's 6'8" & 280 pounds and finished in third place in the contest behind Puder & Mike "The Miz" Mizanin. The people running American Gladiators largely picked guys based on size and personality. They were pretty much looking for big juiced-up guys to fill out their roster. The mentality in their choices was said to be the same or worse than 1980s WWF as far as what they were looking for in talent.
