1964 - Toyonobori defeated Gene Kiniski in Tokyo, Japan to win the sixth annual JWA World League Tournament. Toyonobori is the first wrestler other than Rikidozan to win the tournament.
1984 - Ivan Koloff & Don Kernodle defeated Wahoo McDaniel & Mark Youngblood for the NWA World Tag Team title
1997 - Rob Van Dam officially becomes "Mr. Monday Night" when he debuted alongside Jerry Lawler on RAW IS WAR. He defeated Matt Harsy in his first WWF outing, although he did not sign a formal contract.
