To follow up on earlier reports of WWE confirming the release of Rene Dupree today, this move may not come as much of a surprise considering the company had been shuffling and repacking Dupree a few times this year.
For those who remember, Dupree was first pushed over to the new ECW brand when it first debuted last summer. A decision was then made to have La Resistance (along with Sylvan Grenier) be teamed up again in ECW. The team had a match on ECW as recently as this past February. Since then, Dupree had been working events for Ohio Valley Wrestling and Florida Championship Wrestling.
