This afternoon, New York Governor David Patterson will be in Albany to begin formal hearings on Bill No.S02858, which would allow the New York State Athletic Commission to regulate the sport. North Carolina’s Durham Herald Sun reports that Ric Flair’s daughter Ashley Fleihr pleaded guilty to resisting an officer and being intoxicated and disruptive during a confrontation between her father and her boyfriend in September. The incident resulted in Ric Flair suffering a black eye, which was seen on various tabloid websites (including TMZ) and during Flair’s shoot interview for HighSpots. The guilty plea came as part of a plea bargain agreement that saw authorities dismiss a charge of assault on a law enforcement officer.
