The WWE website quietly removed Gavin Spears’ profile from the ECW section on Thursday, which should confirm his reported departure from the organization. However, WWE did not make the standard “future endeavors” announcement regarding Spears. Spears was let go by WWE last week as part of the company’s cost-cutting initiative.

The WWE website quietly removed Ron Simmons’ profile from the Raw section on Wednesday, which should confirm his reported departure from the organization. However, WWE did not make the standard “future endeavors” announcement regarding Simmons. Simmons’ profile has since been moved to the WWE Alumni section.

As announced last night on SmackDown, a rematch between Matt Hardy and “The All-American American” Jack Swagger for the ECW Championship is set to take place at the Royal Rumble.

Chris Jericho was advertised to wrestle John Cena at Raw brand house shows this weekend, but is apparently off them following his “firing” on Monday’s Raw. Randy Orton took his place at last night’s house show in Oshkosh, Wisconsin in a losing effort to Cena.
