It appears as though John Cena will face Edge for the World title on SD! this week although they could very well hold that match off until WrestleMania 25 which seems more likely. They never 100% confirmed this on RAW but did hint at it. I may have just missed it but I’m pretty sure they never ‘officially’ announced it. Nonetheless, SmackDown! will be taped tomorrow night and we’ll have the spoilers up here on the website. The show is on the west coast so it’ll be a late night tomorrow for you east coast readers.
For those who have asked, the JBL ‘shiner’ on RAW was legit. The injury obviously occurred at the No Way Out PPV, possibly from the Shawn Michaels super kick?
Speaking of JBL and Shawn Michaels, they will face each other next week on RAW with the winner going on to face The Undertaker at WrestleMania 25. I’ve heard VERY strong rumors over the last day or two that HBK vs. ‘Taker at WrestleMania is all but confirmed. I’d be shocked is HBK wasn’t victorious over JBL next week but of course you never know.
