Major WrestleMania Creative Changes, Surprise Diva Entrant, More

There were some major changes to the WrestleMania match order as well as several match finishes within the last few days. The tag-team match had been promoted for WEEKS and then it doesn’t air on the live show!?!? They’ll likely air a video package tonight highlighting the match.

Rey Mysterio vs. JBL was originally scheduled to open the show. Things changed once they did timing of the matches. That is part of the reason the tag-team match was pulled from the live show.

In case you didn’t notice, the 25th Diva to take part in the 25-Diva Battle Royal at WrestleMania last night was former WWE Diva Joy Giovanni. She could be seen sporting a pink and black costume with pink sneakers. She was quickly eliminated by one of the Bella Twins. Giovanni was seen hanging around the hotel WWE was staying at late last week, although we didn’t hear anything on her taking part in the match beforehand so it would appear that she was late addition. The match did indeed have 25 participants. In WWE.com’s recap for the match, they forgot to mention Sunny as one of the past Divas taking part in the match. They wrote: “Former Divas Joy Giovanni, Miss Jackie, Molly Holly, the recently-retired Victoria and Torrie Wilson all made their way to the ring in hopes of once more achieving WWE glory on The Grandest Stage of Them All.”
