RAW Notes For Tonight, J.R Ribbed At Backlash?, Punk

There will be matches taped for the “Superstars” program at the RAW event tonight. We’ll have spoilers of those up later tonight.

It appears that last night’s involvement of Jim Ross during the “Khali Kiss Cam” segment with Santino Marella was improvised. Vince McMahon has an affinity for mocking Jim Ross on television. Last night’s scheme saw JR revealed as “Santina’s” hidden love-interest, and a kiss was teased – although never happened.

In addition to Pittsburgh, there are reports out of Chattanooga that local commercials are airing for a SmackDown! house show that will feature Edge (advertised as World champion – prior to Backlash) defending the title against The Undertaker in the main event. So according to those advertisements, that is the next house show feud for both Edge and Undertaker. ‘Taker and Y2J are expected to feud later this summer leading to a match at SummerSlam.

VKingOfTheWorldV sent this in as a follow up to our earlier report about CM Punk and an MLB baseball game: I’m not sure if it’s him but usually when they have some one throw out the 1st pitch they also sing the 7th inning stretch because that’s what the Cubs have done since Harry Carey died so I’m guessing Punk would be the one to sing the stretch.
