In addition to tonight’s show, WWE plans on featuring more skits regarding the Denver Nuggets at tomorrow night’s SmackDown television taping.
At last word, Denver Nuggets owner Stan Kroenke would be played by either PWG wrestler Excalibur, or a local ring announcer. A decision was still going down whether to open the show with the segment, or put it at the 9:55 p.m. time slot and have it take place at 10:00 p.m., which is traditionally the second most important segment on the program.
The advance as far as actual sold tickets is concerned for tonight’s Raw taping at the STAPLES Center is said to be really poor, with tomorrow night’s SmackDown/ECW taping being even worse. Both events are being heavily papered.
Former WWE Diva Joy Giovanni noted on her Twitter account (www.twitter.com/joygiovanni) that she will be attending tonight’s Raw in Los Angeles as a spectator. She wrote: “Getting excited for RAW…I’ve never gotten to see a show from the arena seats as a spectator”
