The Associated Press released a story about the Staples Center reaching out to the WWE for Raw, and also that WWE is returning to the area on August 7th at the Denver Coliseum for a house show.
Vince McMahon was on 9News in Denver, and confirmed the change of tapings, as well as the cancellation of the Loveland house show. He stated that they would make up the dates down the line and that he was happy for the Nuggets players for making as far as they have, but he was not happy with Kroenke and his management company. Vince was also upset that Kroenke never called him to deal with the issue.
Vince McMahon also appeared on ESPN today during Sports Center, and discussed the issue. He stated that they were basically forced out of Denver, and that Kroenke and his management company were the worst in the world. Vince also mentioned that they didn’t enforce the contract because he was told, “Absolutely not, we’re going to have a basketball game”. He also teased that he would “confront Mr. Stan Kroenke” on Monday’s Raw.
