TNA Knockout ODB was left off the most recent set of IMPACT! tapings (three episodes worth) because company officials didn’t have any ideas on where to take her storyline relationship with Cody Deaner. In a separate note, her contract is set to expire in November.
As noted on last night’s episode of IMPACT!, Kurt Angle was not at the show because he is off filming a movie. This is indeed true as he missed the second night of the IMPACT! tapings to film Warrior, an MMA movie being filmed in his hometown of Pittsburgh. The movie stars Nick Nolte as a retired mill worker and alcoholic who raised his sons to be wrestlers, but eventually turn their interest to MMA and are co-favorites to win a $5 million tournament. Angle is one of the participants in a 16-man tournament taking place Atlantic City, a Russian killer named Koba. The tournament is being filmed in Pittsburgh on Thursday, May 30th at the Peterson Events Center and they are looking for fans to fill the seats. Filming takes place from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and doors are open to the public. Angle may be featured in some backstage segments on next week’s show as they taped what they needed from him at the first taping.
Sheik Abdul Bashir is once again featured in the weekly TNA webmatch — his third appearance in four weeks. He goes up against Homicide. You can view the match at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eiwzpRSUtRA
