The Mainichi Daily has an article up on the passing of Mitsuharu Misawa, stating that the cause of his death was damage to his cervical spinal cord.
In another bit of sad news out of Japan, one of the country’s best known referees, Ted Tanabe, passed away yesterday due to a heart attack. Tanabe suffered the heart attack while officiating in a match on a Sunday show for Osaka Pro Wrestling. He was then rushed to the hospital and passed away the next morning at the age of 46.
The promotional poster for WWE’s upcoming Night of Champions has been released and it features Edge. In a graphic that will have to be changed, the poster features a shot of him holding the World Heavyweight Championship. You can see the poster at the following link. Night of Champions will take place on Sunday, July 26, 2009 in Philadelphia at the Wachovia Center.
