The following is from WBBJ-TV out of West Tennessee:
A former WWE Champion appeared in Jackson City Court, Monday morning. Brian Christopher Lawler, 37, of Lakeland, entered a guilty plea to a public intoxication charge.
The judge ordered Lawler to pay a $50 fine and attend 30 days of rehabilitation at Pathways.
Lawler was arrested early Friday morning. According to the police report, “Mr. Lawler was very unsteady on his feet, had slurred speech and once placed in custody became very belligerent.”
The officer said that Lawler cursed and threatened him as he was arrested. At one point, the officer stated Lawler threatened to rip off his head.
Brian Lawler has been a professional wrestler for several years with different organizations including World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and Total Nonstop Action (TNA). He has performed using names including Brian Christopher and Grand Master Sexay.
