While nothing has been signed, the name that has been suggested for Bobby Lashley to face on October 3 in Denver is Ron Waterman. Waterman, who is almost 44 and is a former pro wrestler having wrestled for New Japan, WWE and various other companies. He holds a 16-6-2 overall MMA record according to MMAScoops.com, with his last win coming on November 29, 2008 via submission.
TNA will likely keep Lashley out of the ring in full capacity over the next two months or so or limit his time in the ring as much as possible if he is used to prevent injury.
REMINDER: WEC begins at 9EST tonight for free on the Versus Network. As I noted earlier, these shows are usually very good with awesome fights. I’ve already got a house full of drunk people which is crazy for a Sunday night!
