— This Saturday night, Strikeforce MMA presents “Carano vs. Cyborg” live on Showtime (10:30pm ET). The event marks the first major televised MMA show since Affliction folded and Strikeforce signed a deal with Fedor Emelianenko. If you thought the UFC would let another promotion have the sole attention of MMA fans for the evening, you were wrong. UFC will be showing six of the “most exciting” fights from the recent UFC 100 Pay-Per-View, including Brock Lesnar vs. Frank Mir and Dan Henderson vs. Michael Bisping. UFC’s counter-programming airs on Spike TV at 10pm ET.
