In regards to the situation with Lauren Williams (Angelina Love), the heat is still being put on her within the company. It should be noted that while it is true TNA used foreign wrestlers without proper working visas on a regular basis, that hasn’t been the case for a long time and since they got on Spike TV in 2005 and become more high profile the mentality changed.
The same thing we are continuing to hear is that the company was not aware of the issue with Williams and then legal informed Dixie Carter when it came out that the company could be in trouble if immigration officials decided to target them. So a decision was made to release her until everything cleared up. There was said to be some heat on Terry Taylor (TNA’s head of talent relations) for not being aware of it or catching it sooner.
The line being said right now is that she will be brought back once the paperwork is taken care of. The belief at this point is tonight’s No Surrender PPV will feature Velvet Sky & Madison Rayne vs. Taylor Wilde & Sarita in the finals to crown the first ever TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions. They had taped three weeks worth of TV with Love heading into the PPV and her release took place a short time later.
