Maria Menounos had been working out in a ring in California preparing for some possible in-ring involvement tonight, but ended up pulling a hamstring. We’re told some kind of a segment involving Menounos and former WWE Women’s Champion Maryse was planned, but whether or not that has changed remains to be seen.
Jim Ross asked for the night off for tomorrow night’s WWE Smackdown/ECW TV tapings in Lexington, KY due to a family function. While it is possible some in the wrestling media could be looking a little too much into the situation, Ross’ deal with WWE is believed to be expiring at the end of this year and as of last word he has not signed a new deal. It usually is looked down upon when commentators ask for time off and the last time Ross requested a day off to attend an Oklahoma game he was denied. Either way, it will be interesting to see what happens as at last glance Ross didn’t make any mention about the Smackdown tapings this week on his website in his blog.
