The Hartford Courant has a story up about how WWE had several YouTube videos featuring some of their racy angles from over the years removed due to copyright infringement. These videos were being used by the Connecticut Democratic Party against Linda McMahon in her Senate run. The videos included the Katie Vick scene, the simulated rape between Scott Steiner and Stephanie McMahon, and the Edge/Lita live sex celebration.
And in a follow-up article by the Hartford Courant, WWE claims that the removal of the videos have nothing to do with Linda McMahon’s Senate run, and that it’s all just a coincidence that the videos that were taken down happened to be the ones being used against Linda McMahon. WWE, of course, has to say this legally or else it would violate federal election laws.
