As noted earlier, TNA Wrestling has postponed it’s scheduled tour of Australia in February, according to the Acer Arena website. The tour was scheduled to begin on February 26, but had been put on hold due to “changes in the U.S. TV production schedule.” As you all know by now, TNA is testing the waters with a live Monday night edition of iMPACT! on January 4th. While this cancellation could be a cover for slow ticket sales, its something to keep an eye on.
As previously reported, the Young Bucks (Nick and Matt Jackson) will get a tryout with TNA tonight.
TNA is bringing in extra female talent for tonight’s tapings, as they are doing a New Year’s Eve Knockouts special. TNAWrestlingNews.com is reporting that Amber O’Neal, Lorelei Lee and April Hunter are three of the names coming in.
For those who missed it last week, we exclusively reported that TNA will be debuting a brand new set. Here is what we reported: Over the last few weeks I’ve been hearing about a major overhaul of the TNA ‘iMPACT! Zone’ in Orlando, FL. I have been holding off on reporting anything until I could get further confirmation. I’ve been told that Eric Bischoff’s production company is the contractor logged in to oversee the overhaul. TNA has to notify lease agents, insurers and park officials of any construction activities because they can interrupt the filming of other productions on the lot. I would expect a brand new set to debut on the January 4th TNA iMPACT!. There are also rumors about the six-sided ring being replaced by a 20 x 20 ring although I can’t confirm that. I’ve sent off several emails and have not heard back just yet. Hulk Hogan has also said numerous times that he’s not a fan of the six-sided ring.
