WWE RAW superstar John Cena confirmed on ESPN this morning that he will miss next week’s big “Monday Night War” edition of WWE RAW hosted by Bret Hart. Cena will be appearing at the college football Fiesta Bowl game next Monday night in Arizona to do the opening coin toss. The Bowl game starts at 8:00 p.m. EST, so he’d be unable to make it to RAW in Dayton, Ohio in time.
“This is a special opportunity for me,” said Cena. “It’s going to be really exciting. I can’t really go to too many games because I work for a living!”
As previously reported, there is still a chance Cena could appear on next week’s show “live via satellite,” but with the long awaited return of Bret “Hit Man” Hart to WWE television after 12 years, WWE likely has enough star power to combat TNA’s 3-hour iMPACT!.
