While many wrestling critics opposed to Vince Russo’s style of booking expressed joy over the presumed fact that Hulk Hogan’s involvement TNA would mean the end of Russo’s creative influence, sources are reporting that Russo is not, in fact, in danger of losing creative control.
According to a source close to the situation, Russo’s job is presently secure, if for nothing else than the fact that he has developed a relationship of trust with TNA’s Dixie Carter.
It is beyond clear that Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff presently have significant influence within TNA, but as Carter has supposedly been experiencing “trust issues” with those on the wrestling side right now, the feeling is that she would just hand over complete control of the company to the newcomers.
Russo, meanwhile, has engaged Dixie Carter in the creative process and thus given her an indication that he wants to operate in the best interest of her company.
