The son of Terry Gordy (his real name is Terry Ray Gordy, Jr.), Slam Master J had heavy backstage support from Michael Hayes, who apparently views the wrestler as a son. Some believe the Michael Hayes backing was the only reason he even had a job in WWE, and there was thus surprise that Hayes’ protection ultimately proved unable to keep the wrestler safe from a “future endeavors” announcement.
— Cody Rhodes will be appearing at North-Gate Ford in Cincinnati, Ohio on Saturday, May 22nd from 4-6pm.
