WWE Confirms The Firing Of SD! Diva Serena

The following was just posted on WWE.com, confirming our report this past Monday night. WWE waited this long to announce the firing due to her appearing on this week’s SmackDown!. The show was taped last Wednesday in California. Here is the WWE.com statement:

WWE has come to terms on the release of WWE Diva Serena. We wish Serena the best in all future endeavors.

While specific details surrounding her abrupt departure from the organization have yet to be disclosed, it is said that she was let go in a disciplinary measure. According to one source, she was not “living out” her Straight Edge Society persona in public. Really. It should be noted that paparazzi photos of Serena out in Hollywood walking to a nightclub recently surfaced online. You can click here to view them. The decision to cut the six-time Ohio Valley Wrestling Women’s Champion was actually made a last weekend, but word had not surfaced until Monday night.
