As noted last night here on the website, please continue to ignore all negative WZR Radio media attention in the coming days. We are working with numerous police departments in Boston, South Carolina, and Minnesota to find out the source of these issues.
The Boston news media has picked up numerous stories about a ‘hoax’ involving one of the ‘DJs’ from WZR Radio. The articles state that we’re based out of South Carolina which is untrue – we’re based out of New York.
A new article featuring a video (it aired last night on the 10 o’clock news) detailing the story as well as comments from myself is available at http://www.myfoxboston.com/dpp/news/local/police-prank-calls-part-of-radio-hoax-20101001 The video on the left details the story in greater detail.
Anyone who listens to the show or knows me personally absolutly knows this is not us nor would we ever do something as stupid as this. We also plan to prosecute those responsible. We have a feeling on who it is and will be relaying that information alongside other evidence that we have collected to the Boston PD Monday morning.
Thanks for your continued support of WZR Radio!! I love you guys to death and I know we’ve got your support. These claims are extreamly damaging to myself and the show and we’re already planning a major lawsuit against the person behind this. I’ve got a sit-down meeting with a lawyer on Monday morning. I’ll be able to provide you more information at that time. I’ve been advised NOT to speak to any more media regarding this. I’ll open myself up to the media at some point next week.
Thanks again and we’ll see you this Tuesday night for WZR Radio located at WZROnline.com The show airs every Tuesday night from 8-10EST!!
